I’m Moving UP…

Posted by Blog 4 December, 2016 Comments off

If you have been reading my blog over the last few months, you may have noticed that I cannot spell OR write grammatically correct sentences. I TRY.  I really do. I read them over and over…TRULY.  It never fails that I have mistakes. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

For those of you that HAVE noticed (which is many of you, all of who are too nice to say anything to me), I have good news!!!!  I have editors now!  Their names are Stacey & Shannon.

Aren’t they adorable?  Shannon apparently did this in her “pre children” life.  I have known Shannon for 8 years, how did I not know this?  And Stacey, she is just really good at proof-reading. She is also good at anything that needs to be put into order, which is me most of the time!  I think that is why she is drawn to me.  I am always a hot mess, spinning around in circles, trying to remember where I put my phone.

This all came about when we were having coffee.  Someone came up to me and complimented me on my blog.  Obviously, they were not deterred by my lack of poor sentence structure! After they left, I casually mentioned that I wish that I could see my mistakes when I write.

Stacey then says “I know, my internal grammar beeper goes off when I read your blog but, I didn’t want to say anything because it’s just sooooo you!”  Ummmm, is that a compliment or….

Shannon says, “You know I used to be a copy writer for a magazine before I had kids.  This is what I used to do FOR A LIVING. I would love to help you.”

Done.  I created login credentials for them…let me rephrase…my super cute internet guys created login credentials for them and off they went editing.

Both of them were excited. We were all on a text thread when they began.  The thread started off like this, “How do I log on?” & “How do I save what I have edited?”  Then it turned to,  “My beeper is going off! Terrible comma use! Wrong form of it’s! I’m only on line 2!!! This is so fun!”… That is an actual quote.

You know that I am still on this thread right???

Long story short, all errors going forward are now ALL their fault!  Yay! I can come up with content and they can make me look smart!  PERFECT! I need a Stacey & a Shannon in my everyday life I decided.  So, if you have any ideas on how to make that happen, please let me know.

Next week, back to sewing!
Cheers!
Andrea

P.S. I purposefully spelled both their names wrong at some point in this BLOG. It cracks me up to know they are proofing their own names.  I may have also thrown in some inappropriate language too just to see what they would do with it! Tee Hee.
