I don’t know exactly when the switch started to happen, but I am now the sewing expert among my friends. I ask them if they have actually read my blog, because if you have, it is CLEAR I am no expert. I am the opposite of knowledgeable in the sewing world. Nothing I do goes the way it is supposed to. Ever.
Still, I get texts like this…
My answer is in the blue bubble. I make up answers. I say it with no funny emoji or smiley face, just a period as if I have no doubt of my answer. I laugh as I type my answer. Darren laughs even harder. “Why are they texting you and not me?”, he says. “Because I am better looking.”, I say.
Here are a few more examples of my texts over the last month:
Truly, they text me all the time about the projects they have made. About the problems they had while sewing their projects. They text me for advice (that is the one that really kills me.)
HOWEVER, I love it. I love that they are trying something new and bonding with me over sewing. I love that they WANT to get together to create and be part of my new world. I love everything about it. I even love trying to give advice. It is as if I get to play a part in a play. Maybe, if I pretend long enough it will become the truth!
